Mary Ann Weston
Mary Ann (Bannon) Weston, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, formerly of Buxton, Maine, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2016 following a lengthy illness. She was 79 years of age. Born in Machias, Maine on July 24, 1936, daughter of Edward and Madeline (McGuire) Bannon. Raised and educated in Machias. Mary Ann received her RN from Boston Childrens Hospital and later her Bachelors Degree in Social Work from the University of Maine. She was a Registered Nurse for the State of Maine before her retirement. Mary Ann would like to be remembered for how much she loved her family and friends, loved her Irish heritage and always enjoyed her job as a Public Health Nurse. A devout catholic, Mary Ann was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in South Portland and more recently St. Mark's Catholic Church in Southwest Ranches, Florida. Her biggest disappointment in life was not having children of her own but she loved to spoil her kitties, Shamus and Rosie and was the most beloved Auntie "M" to all of her nieces and nephews. is, Fogel ,Healy, Reifsnyder, and Trevithick families. In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her sister's Dorothy Bannon, Patricia Trevithick and her brother, James Bannon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 11th at 2:30 P.M. at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Flamingo Road, Southwest Ranches, Florida. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A memorial service will be held at Conroy Tulley Funeral Home in South Portland at 11am on Saturday April 16th, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland Maine.
