He maintained a special bond and friendship with several colleagues he worked with throughout his career. His friends appreciated their relationship and remember him most for being a great mentor. Survivors include five children, Kathy Dickerson (husband, Louie), Gary Dickerson, Dave Dickerson (wife, Nancy), Dot Kemp (husband Rick), and Bea Bray (husband George); 9 siblings, Otis, Mary Highlands, Nora Weedon, Mardella Steiger, Joe, Diane Murray, John, Becky Isom, Mike, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy (Mangus) Dickerson, his parents, Carl and Beatrice Dickerson, brother William, sister Ruth Warfield Private family ceremony and services will be held.
