A beacon of love and strength died on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the age of 58 after nine years of heroic battle with lymphoma. Cherished husband of Thu Van for 26 years, proud father of Justin, Nathan, Niel, Joshua and Samuel. Loving son of Gladys and the late Norman Hintz, faith-filled brother of Debra, Jean (Jeffrey) Rude, Laurie (Thomas) Kotecki, David (Rachel), Timothy (Elizabeth) and Angela (the late Timothy) Hopkins. Loved son-in-law of Thu and Monique Tieu and kind brother-in-law of Thu Dung (Hung) Dang, Minh Trung (Henry) Tieu and Minh Duc (Rachel) Tieu. Loved by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and co-workers. Mike, a graduate of Marquette University, began his banking career at First Wisconsin Bank and later moved to JP Morgan Chase. During his 41 years in commercial banking, he formed many lifelong friendships with co-workers and clients. As a Confirmation Group Leader at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Mike shared his love for God and Church with the many confirmands for 25 years.
