Keith D. Oatman, 81, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Sioux City, IA with Rev. David Miller officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Services will also be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Spencer Wesleyan Church in Spencer, NE with Rev. Grant Graff officiating. Burial will be in Alford Cemetery in rural Monowi, NE. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Keith was born in Norfolk, NE on July 9, 1934, the son of John H., Sr. and Clara O. (Martin) Oatman. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1951. Keith married Betty Lou Haun on August 25, 1956 in Spencer, NE. He graduated from Norfolk Jr. College in Norfolk in 1963 and from Wayne State College in Wayne NE in 1966. He was a self-employed consultant until his retirement. He was an active and faithful member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. oved spending time with his family. His family thanks the Lord for his life, prayers and godly example. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife, Betty: 3 sons, David (Linda Rae), Russell (Patty) and Brian (Bobbi Jo); 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 1 brother, Lynn (Ruth) Oatman; 2 brothers-in-law, Harold and Robert (Judy) Haun; and 1 sister-in-law, Dorothy Miller. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Oatman; in-laws, Floyd and Florence Haun; 1 brother, John H., Jr. (Betty) Oatman; 1 sister, Gwenevier (John) Hammond; and sister-in-law, Helen Haun. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Southern Hills Baptist Church.
