Fond grandpa of Rebecca (Chad) Schmidt, Andrew Wickert, Adam (Melissa) Wickert, and James Wickert. Further survived by many other relatives and friends. Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, on Friday, May 6, 2016, from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM. Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. A veteran of WWII Frank served as a combat engineer in Patton's 3rd Army. Frank retired as Captain of the West Milwaukee Fire Department after 30 years of service. During his retirement, Frank volunteered as a Red Cross Driver, a Docent at Milwaukee Public Museum, and at the Milwaukee County Zoo. He enjoyed singing with the Ambassadors of Harmony Barbershop Chorus. [more]
