Robin Annette Anderson
Services for Robin will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2016 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Graettinger. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m, Sunday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Graettinger. Robin Annette Anderson, daughter of Donal and Shirley (Westergard) Anderson, was born in Des Moines, Iowa on August 1, 1958. She attended School at Maxwell, IA through the third grade before moving with her family to Graettinger. In 1976, Robin graduated from Graettinger High School, and she continued her education at Iowa Lakes Community College where she received her associate degree in nursing. Robin was baptized and confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Graettinger, Iowa. Robin worked at area health care facilities sharing her love and talent for nursing with others. Throughout her career, she worked as an LPN, RN, Supervisor, Manager, and Director of Nursing. She also worked as adjunct faculty at Iowa Lakes Community College for a time. In 1988 Robin's work was recognized by the Society of Nursing Professionals in the Who's Who in American Nursing. Robin enjoyed the outdoors, working with her plants, yard work, and sports. clones, New York Yankees, and Green Bay Packers. Robin shared her passion for sports through coaching little league teams. Robin loved to spend time restoring her home, but most important was spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters, Adalyn and Ellys. On Thursday, May 5, 2016, Robin passed away at her home in Graettinger. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Casey Anderson and his wife, Amy and their daughters, Adalyn and Ellys of Rosemount, MN and Chris Anderson of Anthon, IA; her mother, Shirley Anderson of Estherville; two brothers, Gary Anderson and his wife, Joanne of Brookings, SD and their four daughters Donnell, Janelle, Nichelle, and Laurelle; and John Anderson and his wife, Sooyoung of Bellbrook, OH and their son Colton; and many other family and friends. Robin was preceded in death by her father, Donal, maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as other uncles and aunts.
