William (Bill) L. Isley, born July 16, 1917 in Indianapolis to the late Lawrence and May Isley, passed away January 9, 2007 in Kenosha, WI. Mr. Isley, a graduate of Shortridge High School and was a member of its undefeated championship football team, attended Hanover College where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and captain of the football team. He left Hanover before graduating to volunteer for the Army Air Corps. Mr. Isley served in both World War II and the Korean War and was a decorated paratrooper pilot. He retired from the Air Force with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. Isley was Vice President of and co-owner with his late brother Paul Isley of L. E. Isley & Sons Plumbing Company. He was also an active member of the Optimists Club and the Masons. Mr. Isley is survived by his wife Christine, his children William Isley, Jr. and Judith King, his three beloved grandchildren Aaron and Andrew Isley and Robin King, his daughter-in-law Mary Isley, son-in-law Tim King and sister-in-law Nighel Isley.
