Margaret Rose Foltz

Indianapolis: Margaret Rose Foltz, who often said, 'Age is only a number, and mine is unlisted,' passed away Friday, July 19, 2013. Peg was born to the late Henry J. and Lenore M. (Holland) Foltz in Indianapolis. She attended Assumption Grade School and St. John's Academy. Peg was a very generous and hospitable individual who loved people. That love led her to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Marian College and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Indiana University. She finished her career as a social worker with Indianapolis Public Schools. Not only did she love people in general, she especially loved her family and all of their endeavors. She was an avid shopper whom was always dressed to the hilt in clothing, shoes, and accessories. As a senior citizen she was particularly fond of Goodwill and was even lucky enough to obtain an autograph from the Goodwill spokesman. In Peg's spare time she enjoyed volunteering for Little Sisters of the Poor and Weight Watchers. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and National Association of Social Workers. Peg was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John, Joe, and Jim Foltz, and sister, Fran Foltz. The family would like to thank Peg's loving caregivers, Sheila, Brittany and Lisa and the caring staff of St. Vincent Hospice. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held.
