JEFFREY LYON MUSCATINE, Iowa - Jeffrey L. Lyon, 56, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at his home after a yearlong battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com. Jeff was born on August 3, 1959, in Iowa Falls, the son of William Vance "Buzz" and Katherine Ann "Kathy" Hensing Lyon. He married Teresa "Teri" L. Barnard on May 7, 1982, in Muscatine. He worked for Grain Processing Corporation for 37 years. Jeff enjoyed hunting and the time spent with his buddies in the duck blind on the Mississippi River. He also enjoyed vacationing with family in Minnesota at the cabin and fishing on Little Pine Lake in the summer and ice fishing on Cass Lake and Pike Bay with the "Old Farts Club" during the winter.
