Garry L. Tate

Garry L. Tate, 59, of Canton, Missouri, passed away on June 11, 2016, in Keokuk, Iowa. Garry L. Tate was born to Mrs. Billie June Tate and Harold L. Tate on September 19, 1956. He was married to Mrs. Beverly S. (Pennie) Tate on November 28, 1990, in Canton, Missouri. Garry attended Highland High School and was employed at Davis Cleaver in Quincy, Illinois, Gardner Denver in LaGrange, Missouri, and also for Steel Castings in Keokuk, Iowa. Garry then began his ministry at Green Chapel Church in LaGrange, and was presently serving as a minister at Pilgrim's Rest Church in Keokuk for sixteen years. Garry is preceded in death by his mother, Billie June Tate, his father Harold L. Tate, and his stepbrother Steve Hickman. A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Pilgrims Rest Church in Keokuk, with Reverends JT Brown and John H. Mims. After the celebration, a repast will be held at the church, followed by burial at La Belle Cemetery in La Belle, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM at the church directly before the service. Memorials may be directed to the family.
