John Kaurich, SDS "Jack"
Jack, at the age of 74, after a heroic battle with cancer, went home to the loving arms of Jesus Christ on June 16, 2016, right before midnight. Beloved husband and soul mate of Anna (nee Gillett). He is survived by 5 siblings: Dolly, Mimi, Stan, Gary, and Mary. He is also survived by a step-son, Dr. Jason (Melissa) Polzin; and two step-grandchildren, Bennett and Maggie. Jack was married to Patricia Kaurich for 30 years; she died young at the age of 53 of cancer. He retired from Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Corporation) after 30 years of service. He worked in the engineering department and enjoyed many enduring friendships there. After retirement from Allen-Bradley, he was employed by Quad/Graphics for four years. In 2010, he met his true love, Anna Gillett. They married December 11, 2010, and she became Anna Kaurich. Jack was an avid golfer and a musician. He played three instruments: guitar, banjo, and mandolin. He was a lover of country music, especially John Denver. Jack had a special affection for dogs. , and his little dog, Rose, he was as happy as a man could be. Jack loved Door County and had plans to return there; however, he lost that dream when he was diagnosed with cancer on the last day of March. Jack was a serious meditator and spent every day of his life in prayer and meditation. Jack was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in New Berlin and a beloved member of the Religious Order of the Salvatorians. Jack was a student of the teachings of Adyashanti and an admirer of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. Memorial Gathering at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 12700 West Howard Avenue, on Friday, July 8, at 2:00 PM. Memorial Mass at 3:00 PM. Reception to follow at 4:30 PM in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the family.
