Marilyn Thompson

Marilyn M. Thompson, age 54, of Abrams, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016. She was born on November 13, 1961 to Eugene & Mary (Bishop) Demeny. After Marilyn's first bout of breast cancer, she made it her life's goal to make a difference in as many kids' lives as she could. She was a foster mother to numerous children, and made sure they each had a dog. Survivors include her husband, Mark Thompson; parents; Eugene & Mary Demeny; children, Josh (Jen) Thompson, Gary Thompson, Shaianne Thompson and Tyler Thompson; grandchildren, Kylie, Kaden and Madison Thompson; siblings, Michael (Lori) Demeny, John (Dawn) Demeny, Don (Amy) Demeny and Marc (Denise) Demeny; sisters by heart, Stacy Tripp & Arlene Bialozynski; cousins, nieces and nephews; and numerous foster children. She is preceded in death by her infant son, Dylan Thompson; grandparents; Adolph & Rose Demeny and Allen & Beulah Bishop. A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Kip & Donna's Flyway in Abrams. Lyndahl Funeral Home is assisting the family in arrangements. [more]
