Humboldt. Later, the family moved to Fort Dodge where he attended school at Corpus Christi Academy. After graduation, he entered the United States Army. William was then sent to Germany to serve in the Army of Occupation. He received his Honorable Discharge from the Army in 1946. William worked at Gus Glaser's Meats until the company closed. He was employed for a short time at Electrolux Plant in Webster City. William then accepted employment with the Fort Dodge Community Schools until retiring in 1997. He was a long-term member of Corpus Christi Church. William was a participant of various activities related to his faith such as Cursillo, which was a special highlight for both Bill & Mary, Marriage Encounter, and prayer groups. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. William and his wife, Mary, spent time in Arizona during the winter months and enjoyed playing golf both here and in Arizona. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
