Betty Ilene Hoskins

Betty Ilene Hoskins, 86, of Keokuk, passed away early on July 13, 2016, at her home in Keokuk. Betty was born in Barry, Illinois, on November 18, 1929, the daughter of Russell T. and Mary Margaret Barnes Campbell. On June 5, 1947, she was united in marriage to Gerald E. Hoskins in Palmyra, Missouri. He survives. A member of New Testament Christian Church, Betty was employed as a machine operator at St. Louis Gear Company for twenty years, as well as working at the Chuck Wagon Café and was the concessions manager at the Sky Lark Drive-in Theater. Betty was active in her Bible study group and at church. Betty is survived by her husband Gerald of Keokuk; her three daughters: Sherry Ilene Vaughn of Montrose, Iowa; Vicki Lynn (Benjamin) Spellman of Lincoln, Illinois; and Mari Gay (Reno) Pinkston of Warsaw, Illinois; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one niece and one nephew. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her son Jay Gerald Hoskins, and her brother Robert R. Campbell.
