Dennis Richard Linssen

Dennis R. Linssen, great husband, dad, best friend and wonderful Papa to his grandchildren, age 74, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was born March 13, 1942, to the late Norbert and Myrtle (Boerschinger) Linssen in Green Bay. Dennis served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965. On March 15, 1965, he married Sue Fischer in Saginaw, Michigan. He had been employed at Fort Howard for many years. Dennis is survived by his wife, Sue; his children, Michael Linssen, Oneida, Denise Williams, Green Bay, Troy (Nicole) Linssen, DePere, Scott Linssen, La Crosse, and Sean (Tara) Linssen, Green Bay; ten grandchildren, Tyler Williams, Anna Linssen (Jeff), Trent Williams, Garrett Linssen, Bryce Linssen, Paige Linssen, Cassie Linssen, Justin Linssen, Alexia Linssen and Austin Linssen; two step-grandchildren, Kevin Williams and Kristina Williams; and his siblings, Gerald Linssen, Jean (Ben) Van Den Berg, Sharon Buresh (Cindy), Joe (Donna) Linssen and Randall Linssen. He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and his sister-in-law, Helen Linssen. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Dennis's name. All contributions will be given to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society and Unity Hospice. The family would like to thank Dr. John Rank and his staff and the entire staffs of Unity Hospice, especially Laura and Unity Hospice Respite, especially Mary and Cindy for their care, concern and compassion for Dennis.
