Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016, at the Good Hope Lutheran Church in Titonka. Interment will be in the Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Monday at the church. Charles Amos Bronson was born March 10, 1938, in Princeton, Kentucky, the son of Truman and Corean (Lewis) Ray. His father died when he was four years old and his mother remarried Clayton Bronson. The family moved to Hampton, Traer and then later settled in Emmetsburg, where Charles attended school. After his schooling he joined the United States Army and served in Washington, Michigan and Korea. He was honorably discharged and returned to Algona to work with his father in the lumberyard. On June 15, 1963, Charles was united in marriage to Linda Ricks at the Good Hope Lutheran Church in Titonka. After their marriage they spent many years living in Titonka before later retiring and moving to Wesley. Charles enjoyed his carpentry work, remodeling homes and later in life restoring old cars. He is survived by his wife, Linda Bronson of Wesley; daughter, Amy and Brent Nelson of Fairmont, MN; son, Scott Bronson of Clear Lake; brother, Ron and Jan Bronson of Mason City; sister, Gloria Seefeld of Algona; sister-in-law, Shirley Thornsbury of Burlington and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Bronson; sister, Carnell Ray; brother, Clyde Bronson; brothers-in-law, Elmer and Melvin Ricks and Denny Seefeld and sister-in-law, Anna (Tom) Potter.
