Anne B. Davis

Anne (Murphy) Davis, 89, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Wareham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Broward Heath Medical Center. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on February 13, 1927, daughter of Thomas Joseph Murphy and Martha (Burlingame) Murphy. Raised and educated in Somerville, Anne graduated from Somerville High School, class of 1944. In 1949, she married David E. Davis and moved to New London, Connecticut where they lived until 1967. She worked for Lee's Kiddyland Toy store in New London. A resident of Fort Lauderdale for the past 50 years, she and her husband David summered in Wareham (Cape Cod), Massachusetts. Survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, David E. Davis, loving son, Tom Davis and her devoted grandson, Thomas David Davis. In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas Murphy, Katherine M. Murphy, Martha T. Halatyn and Leo F. Murphy.
