Barbara C. Welder

Barbara C. (Black) Welder, 73, Muncie, passed away Sunday evening, September 4, 2016 at I U Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born April 9, 1943 in Muncie, the daughter of Edgar C. and Mildred Helen (Barber) Black. Barbara enjoyed gardening, going to the casinos, her monthly dinner out with her sisters and her Saturday night out with Fran. Survivors include sons, Bruce Welder, and Tom Welder (wife Alison L. (Lehman) Welder), sisters, Nina Lowe (husband Jim), Donna Thomas and Lela Parsons; sisters-in-law, Fran Black, Darlene Welder, Paula Welder and Nancy Welder; her best friend and god mother, Fran Crisp; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Welder; brother, Charles Black; sisters, Martha Morris, Sherry Crose and Jackie Evans. Services will be held 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, IN 47304. Private inurnment will be in Elm Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum at a later date. Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
