edication and hard work will always be remembered. The city named the Airport Park in his honor on December 20th, 2014, which is now the Mayor Pablo G Peña Park. When Gene Braught retired, Pablo encouraged him to run for mayor, which was another success for the city of Weslaco. Pablo Peña is the founder of Weslaco's, Central Plumbing and Electric Supply in April 1964. He was ahead of his time and received many awards in the plumbing and retail industry. Central Plumbing is still a thriving business in the mid valley, where all three sons and three grandsons still work. He and Eva would have three boys, Gene, David, and Pablo. They traveled to Colorado over the years many times. When he wasn't working or running the city, he loved to play the slots in Vegas and Louisiana. He also had a ranch, where he spent many weekends hunting. Pablo was also a Dallas Cowboy fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Salomon and Olivia Peña, his wife, Eva Peña, and his brother, Salomon Peña, Jr. He is survived by his sons, Gene Paul and wife, Nori, David Dale, and Pablo G., Jr. and wife, Melissa, his grandchildren, David N., Gene Jr., Jeffrey, Richard, Jonathon, Megan, Kassandra, Ryan, and Kaylie, his great-grandchildren, Ava, Kaylen, Avery, Nolan Paul, and Jaxson, sister, America P (Dan) Silva sister in law, Margarita Peña, numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 12th, 2016 from 10am to 9pm, with a prayer service at 7pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco. Funeral services will be held at 10am, Tuesday, September 13, at McCaleb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carlos Zamora and Rev. Jacinto Alderete officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. The Peña family would like to give special thanks to Ms. Isabel "Mare" Conde for 38 years of loving and devoted service.
