Peggy L. Rucker, 58 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center. She was born May 1, 1958, in Seymour, Indiana, the daughter of Charles "Gale" and Carole (Carmichael) Rucker. Peggy was a member of the 1976 graduating class of Seymour High School and a 2005 graduate of Northern Kentucky University. She recently celebrated her ten year employment anniversary at Impact Forge in Columbus, Indiana. Formerly, she was employed as Children's Program Director at Fairhaven Rescue Mission in Covington, Kentucky, and the Salvation Army in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she impacted and enriched the lives of numerous underserved children. Peggy served her Lord in each community where she was planted from Seymour to Northern Kentucky then International Falls, Minnesota, before returning to Seymour. Currently, she was an active and faithful member of the Freetown United Methodist Church. She also served on the Freetown July Festival Committee in numerous capacities. or people and for serving others permeated all aspects of her life. She was truly an inspiration to those who God placed in her path. She is survived by her sisters, Rita (Jeff) McNeely and Karen (Tom) Bates; brother-in-law, Kenneth W. Mousa, nieces: Bambi (Chris) Cardinal, Brianne McNeely, Charla (Rusty) Bickel, Leah Mousa, Hallie Bates and Josie Bates; nephews: Jordan (Jennifer) McNeely and Seth Mousa; great-nephews: Blake and Luke Cardinal, Hunter, Nolan and Graham McNeely, James Bickel and Greyson McNeely-Sanner. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Nita K. Mousa, grandparents: Ralph and Josie Rucker and Rev. Earl and Thelma Carmichael. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Voss Chapel. Burial will follow at Acme Cemetery. Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Saturday after 11:00 am until time of service. Memorial checks may be written to Freetown United Methodist Church, Cross Life Ministries or the donor's choice. Arrangements were made through Voss & Sons Funeral and Crematory Service, Seymour, Indiana.
