he St. Paul Lutheran Church in Atlantic. The family moved to Muscatine in 1966 when Don began working for Muscatine Power and Water. He retired in 1998. He liked camping, playing cards, golfing, and slow pitch softball. He enjoyed teaching his girls to play ball and enjoyed attending sports activities of his grandkids. Don was always looking for his next cup of coffee and good conversation. He had been an active member of Zion Lutheran Church for over 50 years. The family would like to give a special thank you to the University of Iowa Lung Transplant Team. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Jeanette White of Muscatine; two daughters, Kandes Dalbey and husband, Dean, of Oskaloosa, and Denise Baird and husband, Jeff, of West Liberty; eight grandchildren, AJ Johnson and wife, Tiffanie, Zachary Johnson and wife, Veronica, Seth Johnson and wife, Sarahbella, Mitchell Johnson, Annagrace Dalbey, Kaitlyn Dalbey, Jason Dierdorff and fiancé, Kayla Roling, and Meredith Baird; six great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Johnson, Alivia Johnson, Camryn Johnson, Lydia Johnson, Liam Johnson, and Orion Johnson; one sister, Mary Winter and husband, Arthur, of South Dakota; numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, many loving friends; and his loving church family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Norma Elkins.
