Ronnie Heinrich, 71, of Maquoketa, Iowa, entered into eternal rest, surrounded by loved ones on Saturday evening, September 24, 2016, at Unity Point Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa. A celebration of Ronald's life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be at the East Iron Hill Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa. Ronald Dean Heinrich was born on January 30, 1945 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Donald and Maxine (Miller) Heinrich. He was a 1963 graduate of Midland High School. He married Cheryl Ann Hoerschelman on September 28, 1968 in Maquoketa, Iowa. To this union four children were born: David, Janet, Lori and Steven. Ronald had first farmed with his dad in Jones County and then farmed on his own farm for a short time. He then worked various jobs including working for the Emeline/Iron Hill Telephone Company, Cornelius Seed Corn, Curly's Tires and Stolper Industries in DeWitt. retirement. In earlier years Ronald had been a member of the Andrew and Baldwin Saddle Clubs where he called the square dances. He currently was attending East Iron Hill Community Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, horses, gardening and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed watching western movies and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Those left to honor Ronald's memory include his wife Cheryl Heinrich of Maquoketa, IA; children David (Tracy) Heinrich of Delmar, IA, Janet (Wess) Gilbert of Shenandoah, IA, Lori (Jeff) Armstrong of Coin, IA, and Steven (Megan) Heinrich of Maquoketa, IA; 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and brothers Gaylon Paul (Debbie) Heinrich of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Dwayne Allen (Becky) Heinrich of Maquoketa, IA. He was preceded in death by his infant sister Barbara Ellen in 1943, his father Donald in 1976, his maternal grandmother Lydia Miller Burgett in 1991, his mother Maxine in 2013, and a grandson Levi Gilbert in 2013.
