Robert L. Glassburn, my beloved husband of 45 years went to be with his Savior April 15, 2016. He was born June 17, 1941 to Elmer and Rita Glassburn in Bellingham, Washington. He served his country in the Air Force for nine years, after his time in the service Bob moved to Seattle 1970, in Seattle he met and married Gaye Anne Tough on May 29, 1971. They moved to Renton, Washington (Newcastle) in 1972. He worked for Safeway several years and then on to Boeing where he retired after 27 years as a mechanic and safety monitor. He was a 30 year member of the Renton Eagles #1722. Bob loved the outdoors; camping, fishing, hunting and anything that he could think of to stay outside. He was an avid fly tyer and went fly fishing and went fly fishing anytime he could. One of his favorite things when camping, if the wind came up was kite flying. The bigger the better! He leaves behind his wife Gaye Anne, sons Josh of Newcastle and Randy of Irving, TX and his special friend Emily. He will be missed by many wonderful friends and family, nieces, nephews and lots of cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother. [more]
