Lucille Ann Reed

Age 96, passed away in Fountain Hills, AZ on Oct. 12, 2015. Lucille is survived by sons James and Richard Reed, granddaughters Jamie Reed Valenzuela, Tamara Reed Valdez and Kimberly Reed Keating, grandson Anthony Reed, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandsons. Her husband Harold Reed and son Robert Reed preceded her in death. Lucy was born in St. Paul, MN to Frank and Gertrude Mattren. She had two brothers Joseph and Edmond and a sister Gertrude. She led an active life that included roller skating, ballroom dancing, and skiing. Camping and traveling with her family were also activities she enjoyed. Bowling was a passion for much of her life. She bowled on many teams in both St Paul and in Seattle. Lucy and her family moved from St Paul to Seattle in 1958 when her husband Harold, who worked for the Great Northern Railroad, was transferred. Eight years after becoming a widow in 1987, Lucy moved to Scottsdale, AZ and then to Fountain Hills in 2005 where she passed away peacefully. She will be missed by all who knew her and especially her family who loved her dearly. [more]
