Slyvia Ruth Nunn
Born January 10, 1929, to Lillian R. and Raymond V. Pollard in Shawnee, OK; passed away on September 24, 2016, in Vancouver, WA. Sylvia and her family moved by train to Bremerton,WA after her father had gone to work in the shipyards. Her mother and she moved to Portland, OR, when she was a teenager where she met the love of her life, Jack R. Nunn. They met at a school dance and were married December 17, 1948. They had 5 children. After she and Jack moved to Seattle, WA, she worked many years for and retired from Cascade Oil Co. She was active in the Order of the Eastern Star where she served several times as Worthy Matron, was a Deputy Instructor and Grand Representative of North Carolina in Washington. She and Jack were married 54 years when he passed away,
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband and her son, Tom. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Jack (Laura),Teresa (Stephanie),Greg (Lynn), and Dan (Terrie); seven grandchildren: Julia, Eric, Brent, Dane, Crystal, Dylan, and Jamison; four great-grandchildren: Elijah; Emery, Ezra, and Oskar; and her best friend Carole Swanson.
