Adam Jay Whetstone, age 28, passed away on October 3, 2016 in Pompano Beach, Florida. Adam was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Samuel Whetstone, IV and Alisa Kimmerle on May 19, 1988. He is a 2006 graduate of Mainland Regional High School in Linwood, New Jersey. He was a concrete worker by trade. Adam attended Church by the Glades and was part of volunteer guest services, where his warm heart and genuine smile made others feel at home. Adam loved being outdoors, surfing, and spending time with friends. He was a mentor to those trying to better themselves - he had an amazing way of bringing hope and light to others. He leaves behind his Somers Point, New Jersey family and friends, along with beloved classmates from Mainland Regional High School, Class of 2006. Adam was loved by so many and leaves behind countless friends. He will be greatly missed. Adam Whetstone is preceded in death by his grandparents Samuel Whetstone, III and Betty Whetstone. Burial service will take place at West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA on November 5th, 2016 at 2:00pm. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 15th, 2016 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Church by the Glades, 400 Lakeview Drive, Coral Springs Florida, 33071. The family of Adam Whetstone wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the Serubo family, Pastor Jim Schambach, and the many people who have sent prayers, contributions, and most of all, their love and support during this difficult time.
