Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Georgia Gerth of Muscatine; two sons, Evan Gerth of Muscatine, and Bill Woodburn of Muscatine; two honorary daughters who were very special to him, Brienne Teed of Muscatine, and Mariah Hill of Bozeman, Montana; two grandsons, Brayden Woodburn and Delaney Smith of Muscatine, and Gabe Woodburn and Aiyana Williams, of Muscatine; one great grandson, Ryker; one sister, Sherry Boyce and husband, William, of Manassas, Virginia; two nephews, William Boyce and wife, Kim, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Steven Boyce of Manassas, Virginia; one niece, J. P. Boyce of Manassas, Virginia; and his father's companion, Tamie Bice, of Beaverton, Oregon; In-laws, George and Betty Swanson of Oxford; two sister-in-laws, Nancy Swanson of Oxford, and Linda Keast and husband, Russell, of Cedar Rapids; brother-in-law, Kevin Swanson and Mary Lou Clefisch of Middle Amana; several nieces and nephews in-laws; several Bike and Antique Friends; Stacey Swanson of Cedar Rapids; and brother-in-law, Danny Akers and wife, Vickie, of Williamsburg.
