Lee A. Brandt

A funeral Mass for Lee was held on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ledyard. Burial was in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Ledyard Lee Allan Brandt was born October 21, 1970, in Blue Earth, MN, son of Sherwin and Sandy (Engelby) Brandt. For most of his childhood he grew up in Ledyard, graduating from St. John's Catholic High School in Bancroft, in 1989. After graduation he farmed with the Johnson's and attended school at the University of Iowa. Lee moved to the Chicago area in 1998 to pursue a career in trade and commodities. He was a partner at New Frontier Capital Markets. Lee loved being with his family and friends. He was a kind and giving man who put others before himself. Lee was an avid reader, he enjoyed grilling and spending time with his mastiff, Hugo, and he was a devoted Iowa Hawkeye fan. Lee A. Brandt died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, October 17, 2016, at his home in Crystal Lake, IL at the age of 45.
