She married Darrell Lee Fisher on October 13, 1989, in Muscatine. She worked as a certified nurse's aide. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Cindy loved her grandchildren and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Darrell Fisher of Muscatine; one son, Joshua Fisher of Muscatine; one step-daughter, Cara Sue Boysal of Muscatine; two grandsons, Jayden and Wyatt; her parents, Charles and Carolyn Geertz of Nichols; her siblings, Chuck Geertz of Muscatine, Carl Geertz of New Boston, Illinois, Christal Milage of Nichols, and Cyle Geertz of Nichols, David Brooks and wife, Helen, of Biloxi, Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.
