y then moved to Maquoketa for eight years and then to a farm west of Monmouth where she was a farm wife. She also worked as a nurses aide at the Jackson County Public Hospital and Crestridge Nursing Home, both in Maquoketa. Additionally, she ran the Hide-A-Way Restaurant in Monmouth until retirement, as well as working as the relief Postmaster for the Monmouth Post Office. Marjorie had been a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa and Oxford Junction, and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Raphael #1156. She was a great cook and enjoyed sewing and crafts, gardening and canning, fishing, camping, dancing, and traveling to Florida each year. Those left to honor Marjorie's memory include her children Dennis (Ethel) Winger of Cedar Rapids, IA, Terry (Denise) Winger of Dubuque, IA, Jerry (Mary) Winger of Ocala, FL, Richard (Ann) Winger of Dubuque, IA, and Cindy (Doug) Westphal of Wyoming, IA; step-children, Bill (Pat) Van Dorn of Chariton, IA, Laura (Gregory) Boeding of Rochester, IA, Jim (Helen) Van Dorn of Dixon, IA, Deborah Van Dorn of Monmouth, IA, Michelle (and friend Joy) Tredway of Des Moines, IA, and Sherry Streets of Springville, IA; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren, 16 step-great-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-grandchild; a brother, Virgil (June) Roeder of Tucson, AZ; a sister-in-law, Bev Roeder of Maquoketa, IA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin and her husband Lloyd, and a brother Dr. Donald Roeder. In lieu of expressions of sympathy, a Marjorie A.
