30, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, daughter of Ezekiel Miller and Susie (Bowen) Miller. She was the youngest of five children. She was affectionately known as "Mae Frances", had a feisty way, and noticeable fashion style. Mary Frances (Miller) Cannon moved to Chicago, Illinois and in due course married John W. Cannon. They moved to Detroit, Michigan, and to that union they had three children. They divorced and she moved back to Chicago raising her children and working her career. She originally moved to sunny South Florida in October 2000. Mary Frances (Miller) Cannon in Chicago, Illinois, attended Copernicus Elementary School, Lindblom High School and earned an Associate's level certification of HTASCP. board certified from the American Society for Clinical Pathology. She was a retired histological technician. She was an employee with hospital medical labs for facilities such as the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, Passavant Memorial, Michael Reese, and the Hines Veterans Administration. She is preceded in death by her ex-husband, John W. Cannon, Detroit, Michigan, her brother, Ezell Miller(Pearl), sister, Lillie (Miller) Mayfield (Fletcher), Rosa Lee Miller, and niece Annette Miller. She has one living sister who is age 102, Nettie Williams (Reesie), from the Chicagoland area. She is survived by her beloved children, Michael Obaiya Cannon, of South Holland, Illinois, Terry Ivan Cannon, of Chicago, Illinois, Sharon Joy (Cannon) Terrell of Miramar, Florida, grandchildren, Kamau (Kay) Cannon, Terry John Cannon, Dawn Marie Cannon, Malinda Carol Cannon, Michele Robin Terrell, Shannon LaShae Urquhart, four great grandchildren Daphina Jaden Cannon, Jaden Green, De'Jona Cannon and Mikayla Crawford, beloved nieces/nephews namely, Ruby Austin (Ledell), and cousin(s) Ruby Jean Jackson and other friends, other relatives, plus the residents/staff/aides of Hillcrest Nursing Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 11, 2016, in a Memorial at Apostolic Faith Church, 3823 South Indiana Avenue, Chicago, Illinois from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
