Thomas Edward Mason

Thomas Edward Mason, a Marine Corps Veteran, of Pembroke Pines, Florida passed away on November 9, 2016 at Westside Regional Hospital, following a one year illness. He was 80 years of age. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut on May 25, 1936, son of Austin T. and Charlotte (McNiven) Mason. Raised and educated in Waterbury, Tom was a retired truck driver. Survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Cherry Lee (Northey) Mason, three loving daughters, Cheryl Lynn Mason-Chan (Daro Chan), Tammy Jean Mason-Walker (Robert Scott Walker) and Jeannine Ray Mason (Trudy Lee), three grandsons, Edward Thomas Mason (Danielle Mora-Mason), LCPL Robert S. Walker, Jr. and STG3 Austin J. Walker. Also survived by a sister-in-law, Lynda Jobin, brothers-in-law, Ed Northey (Pat Northey), John Northey, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 13th at 2:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, 1530 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, Florida 33020.
