Charles Lee Owen, son of Charles Frances and Velma Faye (Martin) Owen, was born on January 20, 1944 in Hamburg, Iowa. Charles passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at The Ambassador Sidney in Sidney, Iowa.
Charles was raised in Essex, Iowa and attended Essex schools. He moved to Omaha, NE as an adult. He had worked for Allied Feed Mill in Omaha, NE and Transwood in Louisville, NE. He drove a truck for Yellow Freight most of his life then retired to Sidney, Iowa.
Charles was a proud member of NRA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, casino's and horseraces.
Charles was preceded in death by his father Charles Frances Owen and sister Frances Faye Owen.
Charles is survived by his mother Velma Faye Owen of Sidney, IA, daughter Lisa Wallace and husband Derek of Shenandoah, IA, son Scott Owen and wife Linda of Louisville, NE, five grandchildren Tara Monroe, Tamara Gray, Mia Wallace, Tanner Owen and Madison Owen and three great-grandchildren Noah, Lexi and Jude.
Celebration of life memorial graveside service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in rural Hamburg, Iowa.
