Mary M. Dunphy, 79, of Fort Dodge, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Trinity Regional Medical Center, Fort Dodge. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at Mount Calvery, south of Livermore. A visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Mary Margaret Dunphy was born August 10, 1937 in Fort Dodge. She attended and graduated high school from St. Joe Academy, Bode, in 1956. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Livermore for 56 years before becoming a member of Holy Trinity Parish. Mary was religious, she recited Rosary daily. Mary liked music, she had an exceptional voice. Mary liked to read, puzzles, played bingo, watched TV and play cards. Mary traveled with her friends and loved to visit with people. In 1994, after Mary's mother passed she came to live with her friends. After an accident, Mary lived for three years in Marian Home and then from 2009 on she lived in Bickford Assisted Living, where she enjoyed her private apartment. Mary is survived by...[more]

r cousin, Jeanne Jamiseon of Clear Lake and family; friends; and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Nellie (McKenna) Dunphy; grandparents, John and Mary (Latin) McKenna; Luke and Margaret (Farrell) Dunphy; aunts and uncles on her mother's side of the family and cousins on both sides. Mary will be missed by her family, friends, and neighbors. Mary was very happy and felt blessed. Memorials may be left to Holy Trinity Church, Fort Dodge or Sacred Heart Church, Livermore. Mary would like to thank the staff of Bickford's, Unity Point Clinics, and the ICU staff at Trinity Medical Center for all their loving care. Also, a thank you to Msgr. Kevin McCoy, Rev.
