Matthew Paul Gannon

Matthew Paul Gannon, age 54 of Mingo, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at his home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com The son of Edward J. Gannon and Genevieve T. (Wendling) Gannon, Matt was born on May 31, 1962, in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Colfax schools and graduated in 1980. Matt then completed his Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy at the University of Nebraska - Omaha. He was an employee of Prairie Meadows for several years. Matt enjoyed many activities including: riding motorcycles, playing music, and paragliding. He was a strong supporter of Iowa Public Radio and Television.
