Services for Kent R. Jackson, 75, of South Sioux City will be 10:00 Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. Augustine's Indian Mission in Winnebago, Nebraska. Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM Sunday, November 27, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Kent was born July 15, 1941 near Winnebago, Nebraska the son of John and Marie (Johnsen) Jackson. He grew up and attended school at Winnebago. Kent moved to South Sioux City with his family in 1979. Over the years, he worked with industrial recycling. Kent was on the Winnebago Public School Board, the Winnebago Volunteer Fire Department, Thurston County Fairboard and NE Nebraska Park Association. Survivors include 4 children, Tracy (Alvin) Jones of S. Sioux City, Greg Jackson of Omaha, Nebraska, Shelby Jackson of S. Sioux City and Brent Jackson of Omaha, Nebraska; 13 Grandchildren; 13 Great-Grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sharon Maslonka and Leann (Rick) Hileman, both of Arizona and a brother, Larry (Deb) Jackson of Nevada.
