Rosetta "Rose" Wikstrom After a long illness with Parkinson's disease, Rose passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 2nd with her husband of 61 years at her side. She was born on October 6th, 1929 to Calvin and Magdalene Wacker in Trail City, South Dakota. She graduated from Mobridge High School Class of 1947. Moving to Seattle with her cousin in 1952, she soon began a career with Seattle First National Bank. She worked in branches throughout Seattle until she was selected to be the manager of the Hawthorne Hills Branch. Retiring after over 50 years of service, she was called back for an employee training program with the bank. She married David Wikstrom on August 20th, 1955. Together, they built a life of love and adventure around friends and family, sharing their heritage and culture. When Cindy was 10 years old, they travelled together to Germany and Sweden to meet relatives, and later to Asia when Cindy was teaching English in Japan. Rose was outgoing and engaging in social activities and was a member of the Mother Goose Chapter of the Children's Home Society of Washington. ncing, going to symphony concerts and Huskies football games. She also enjoyed attending navy reunions, travelling and going on cruises with her husband David. She is predeceased by her sister Alice. She is also predeceased by her daughter Cindy, who is dearly missed. She is survived by her husband David, sisters Sally (Ed) Harp and Shirley Reed, brothers Elmer Wacker and Marvin (Cathy) Wacker, and 11 nieces and nephews.
