Mary A. Krout

Mary A. "Nancy" Krout, age 85, formerly of Ambler, died Sunday December 11, 2016 at Fort Washington Estates where she has been a resident for the past 12 years. Born in Fort Washington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (nee Nachrybecka) Smith. Nancy was a Homemaker and worked as a part time School Crossing Guard for Upper Dublin Township for 15 years. Mrs. Krout was a Life Member of the Fort Washington Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, St. Anthony of Padua Church in Ambler, and played Pinochle with the church group. She was also a member of St. Alphonsus Senior Citizens and enjoyed the Casino trips. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard "Dick" J. Krout in 1998 and her infant son Richard Lee, in 1951. She is the devoted mother of JoAnn Allen and her husband Todd of Oreland, and Joyce Johnston of Harleysville and her husband Wayne. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday from 9:15 to 10:45 AM at Saint Anthony of Padua Church Chapel, 259 Forest Ave. Ambler and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
