Richard L. Braman

Richard Leslie Braman, son of William Isaac and Clarice Ernistine (DeBrucque) Braman, was born April 18, 1932 in Blanchard, Iowa. He passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at his home in Shenandoah, Iowa. Richard was born and raised in Blanchard Iowa. He attended and graduated Westboro High School on May 11, 1950. He served in the U.S. Army from March 18, 1959 to November 4, 1960. Richard was united in marriage to Elsie Marie Keeler on August 25, 1962 in Shenandoah, Iowa. They maintained their residence in Shenandoah. Richard worked at Mount Arbor Nursery, Missouri Beef Pack and Eaton's, retired from Eaton's in 1996. In his earlier years he enjoyed camping and boating with family. Always active in gardening and loved to read. Richard was preceded in death by: parents, siblings; Erma Jo, Billy Gene Braman and Thomas Braman and sister in law Norma Braman. nn, MO, Aaron Baudler of Fontaelle, IA, Ryan Baudler of Fontaelle, IA and Kera Luzmoor of Shenandoah, four great-grandchildren; Brantley & Dixie Woods and Jacey & Ali Klebba, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Celebration of life graveside service will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah with military rites provided by Shenandoah American Legion Post 88 Color Guard. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Memorials may be directed to the family.
