Ann R. Ciliberti, age 78, of Toms River died on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at her daughters home. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Jersey City for many years before moving to Toms River over 27 years ago.
A communicant of Saint Mary of the Lake RC Church, Lakewood, she was a waitress for many years, working at Snuffy's and the VIP, both in Jersey City, and at the Skyway Diner, Kearney. She was most recently employed by the Blue Fountain Restaurant, Toms River, until retiring in 1998.
She was predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Rose (Damante) Sportiello, and by her siblings, Josephine, Billy, Joseph, Theresa, and Nicholas. She is survived by her children, George McLaughlin and his wife Carol of Jersey City, Francis McLaughlin of Barnegat, Roseann Brooks and her husband Bill Magee of Matawan, and Ellen Meaney and her husband Bill of Toms River; and her grandchildren, Ann and George McLaughlin, Jay LaBruno, and William, Julian, Jesse and Jonathan Meaney.
Cremation was private and entrusted to Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
