Robert W. Smith, 60, formerly of Hamilton, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forster Sr. and Addie Smith; brother, Forster Smith Jr.; nephew, Kevin Gabbard and niece, Amber Dietz. Rob is survived by his daughter, Misty Smith; granddaughters, Brianna Johnson, Madison Roach, and Dakota Roach; sisters, Velma (Tim) Dietz and Doris (Calvin) Gabbard; nieces, Barbie (Marcy), Lindsey (Ryan), J.J., Elise and Rachael; nephew, Josh (Melissa) Smith; his love of the past twelve years, Linda Spears along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him. He loved being a papaw, dad and friend. Rob enjoyed fishing and collecting. The family would like to thank Village at the Greene and Heartland Hospice for their excellent care of Rob. A graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park, 2421 Princeton Rd., Hamilton on Saturday, January 7 at 3pm. Arrangements entrusted to Ivey Funeral Home, Hamilton. www.ivey-rosehill.com.
