Donald Becks

Donald E. Becks, 84, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, January, 4, 2017. He was born November 16, 1932 to the late William and Ida (Demain) Becks Sr. in Green Bay. Donald served his country in the U.S. Army. On April 18, 1953, he married Carol Jean Hock in Green Bay, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Donald was employed by James River for over 40 years as a machine operator, until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the American Legion Post #11. Donald enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. He loved to go boating and fishing up at the cabin. He also was an avid Packers fan and loved to watch the games. Donald is survived by his children, Dennis (Kathleen) Becks, Joseph (Denise) Becks, Donna Doubek, Susan (Patrick) Goulder, Lori (Michael) Russo, and Patricia Becks; fourteen grandchildren, Misty (Randall) Spalding, Bryan Becks, Andrew (Tia) Becks, Kevin Becks, Derek and Gary Becks, John (Heather) Summers, Jason Summers, Nicole and Michael Goulder, Anthony and Alexander Russo, Aaron and Tyler Ichella; 13 great grandchildren, Logan, Christian, and Ilyse Spalding, Klaudia and Kadin Becks, Brynn Becks, Kyle and Jeri Ann Becks, Sean, Savannah and Cheyanne Summer...[more]

He is also survived by two brothers, William and John Becks; three sisters, Agnes Lepak, Geraldine Phillips, and Shirley (Randall) Compton; along with many relatives and friends from Carol's family who he enjoyed spending time with. Donald is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol, who passed away in 2009; four brothers, Harold, Robert, Ronald, and Walter; four sisters, Laura, Betty, Irene, and Emmerdine; and son-in-law, Mark Doubek. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday, January 10, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Don Everts officiating at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1224 12th Ave. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
