Mr. Edgar Henry Kretzler

Edgar Henry Kretzler, 93, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in Port Charlotte, FL. Ed was born October 16, 1922 in Pittsburgh, PA son of the late William and Clara Kretzler. Edward was a retired Chief Gas Controller after 32 years of service for Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania. Ed was a Veteran having served his country honorably in the US Army. He was united in marriage to Lorraine Miller, July 29, 1947 and was married for 56 years before her death in 2003. Edgar was a Free and Accepted Mason and Member of Corinthian Masonic Lodge #573, Pittsburgh Masonic Center, Life Member of the Pittsburgh Consistory, Scottish Rite, Life Member of the Syria Shrine Center, Pittsburgh, President of the Syria South Hills Caravan 1985, Commander of the Syria Legion of Honor 1988, Member of the Elks (Pittsburgh, PA and Deep Creek, FL), and Member of the Charlotte County Shrine Club (Port Charlotte, FL). Edgar was an avid golfer, enjoyed landscaping and loved all his family and friends.
