as a Construction Specialist and was instrumental in helping rebuild the schools after Hurricane Charley. After 13 years of service with the School System, he retired this past March. Dennis is survived by his wife, Janet (nee Lesky), of 49 years and son, Scott (fiancé Ellen Dvorak) of Port Charlotte, his sister Kay (Ervin C) Canfield, nephews, Rick McClintock, of Elyria; Dan McClintock of Orange Park, Florida; brother-in-law, John Filimon; nieces Tracy Morris of Port Charlotte; Kelli, (Stephen) Wrobel of NorthPort; great niece Makenzie Morris and great nephews Matt Morris and Stephen Wrobel. A Mass and memorial service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at 10:30 am. Graveside and military services will be held immediately after Mass at Rest Lawn Cemetery on Forrest Nelson Blvd. Following the grave-side services, a reception will be held at the Fawcett H2U Center at 3280Tamiami Trail Suite #493 (Promenades Mall) until 4:00 pm.
