Caroline Beall Long Caroline Regina Beall Long, 96, passed peacefully into the next life on March 6, 2013. Formerly of Williamsport, MD, she resided at Sterling House, Rotonda West, FL. She was the widow of Charles Amos Long. Born June 27, 1916 in Davidsonville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lemon and Lucy Collinson Beall. She is survived by daughters Priscilla Long Kanet of Clemson, SC and Ann Caroline Long Jasper (Eric) of Rotonda West, FL; grandchildren: Caroline Kanet Peani (Pablo) of Vashon, WA; John Amos Kanet (Coreen) of Broomfield, CO; Colleen Kanet Pringle (Nathan) of Greensboro, NC; Dustin Charles Gerberich of Baltimore, MD; Lauren Gerberich Windsor (Jason) of Baltimore, MD; Matthew Jasper of Baltimore, MD; Kerrie Jasper DeVito (Joseph)of Fallston, MD; and 10 great grandchildren. A graduate of the University of Illinois in 1935, Caroline began her career teaching home economics at Glen Burnie High School in Maryland. Later she earned a Master's degree in Elementary Education at the University of Maryland and taught at West Friendship Elementary School, Howard County, MD, then Winter Street Elementary School, Hagerstown, MD. er 28 years of teaching, she travelled the world, visiting 33 countries. A member of John Wesley Methodist Church, Hagerstown, MD, she was an avid gardener, seamstress, and knitter. She was also active member and frequent event organizer of Hagerstown Woman's Club, and Hagerstown and Williamsport Garden Clubs. Beloved Nana had a special place in her heart for her family. She will be greatly missed.
