Vincent Leroy Roberts "CC" or "Vince", age 62 of West Burlington, Iowa died Monday, January 16th, 2017, in El Reno, Oklahoma doing what he loved best "vacationing, visiting with family and friends". The son of Wilfred (Bill) & Mary Roberts of Burlington, Iowa was born 13 May 1954 in Sigourney, Iowa. He married Terrie Johnson and later divorced. They had no children. His current best friend was Linda Dickey. Vince loved life and people. He had a mountain of friends and would give you the shirt off his back. He certainly will be missed. Vince graduated from Burlington High School with the class of 1972 and later received his degree in Business Administration from Western University in Macomb, Illinois. He was employed by the BNSF Railway for 42 years as a Maintenance of Way Foreman and recently retired. Vince enjoyed golfing and watching sports. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers having started watching them at 9 years of age. He also loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and rarely missed a game of either team. hews. He was preceded in death by grandparents on both sides and several uncles and aunts. A public Celebration of Life will be from 3-5 on Saturday, January 28th at the Moose Lodge in Burlington, Iowa. His cremation remains will be inurned at Greenwood Cemetery, West Burlington, Iowa at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
