Brian Marshall Baker

Brian M. Baker, 53, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Sunday morning, January 29, 2017, as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident on 174th Avenue just southwest of 19th Street in rural Maquoketa. A celebration of Brian's life will be held at 4:30 P.M., Thursday, February 2, 2017, at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. A gathering of family and friends will be held prior to the service from 2 to 4 P.M. at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Cremation has taken place. Brian Marshall Baker was born on May 17, 1963 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to William August and Nancy Jo (Streets) Baker, Sr. He attended Andrew High School and then entered the military serving in the Reserves and National Guard. Brian was a self-employed owner operator truck driver. Through the years he had worked for Amhof, Galloway and Johnson Trucking. He currently was working with C & W out of East Moline, Illinois, and had previously worked for Total Quality Truck Maintenance as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy Jo Baker, brothers Bruce and William Jr., a nephew Christopher Hankemeier, and a great-niece Aleah Steffen.
