Helen S. Pfeifer July 15, 1939-January 31, 2017 Helen S. Pfeifer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, went to Our Lord on January 31st, 2017 after fighting cancer with tremendous heart and determination. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Richard R. Pfeifer, sister Marilyn Post, and both her parents. Helen is survived by her son, Richard J. Pfeifer of Lansing, MI, daughter Kristen E. Hayes(Brett) of Cicero, IN; grandchildren, Aaron Booth and Kate Hayes; an amazing circle of dear friends and bridge players and her precocious cat Phoebe. She attended Green Mountain College, in Poultney, VT, and Ohio University Chillicothe, OH. Helen was the Executive Secretary for the Society of Broadcast Engineers for 12 years, and retired from National City Bank in 2005 after many years of service. A devout Catholic, Helen was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, Carmel, IN. Calling will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 1-4 PM at Leppert Mortuary - Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN.
