Jeffrey L. Brooks

Jeffrey L. Brooks, 59, of Sunrise passed away Feb. 18, 2017. He has been a resident of South Florida since 1985, coming from Maryland. Jeff was a retired officer with the Ft. Lauderdale Police Department. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda; daughter, Nicole Brooks-Martinez (Jorge); sons, Shawn Brooks (Lindsey) and Cody Brooks; his parents, Lawrence and Eleanor Brooks; brother, Timothy Brooks (Shelly); mother-in-law, Dorothy Loughlin; brother-in-law, Robert Loughlin (Madeline); nephews, Tim and Josh; niece, Hanna and his beloved companions, Sierra, Hunter, Simon and Klaus. Visitation is 5:30 - 8:00 p.m., with the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at Fred Hunter's University Drive Home, 2401 S. University Dr., Davie.
