John W. Schwab

Schwab, John W. John Wendell Schwab, age 78, passed away on 2/27/17. John was born in Oconomowoc to John and Annette Schwab, on August 19, 1938. He moved to Madison with his family in 1947, and made the city his home for the rest of his life. He was a loyal employee of First Wisconsin Bank, later US Bank, for 42 years. John and Jean were married for 55 years, and had three children, Mary (deceased), Ren and Del. John enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and canoeing with his family, and spent time in his later years making wooden toys for his children and grandchildren. He was also an active member and past president of Madison West Kiwanis, and a faithful member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Jean, his children Ren and Del, his grandchildren Olive, Eloise, Emmeline, and Adler, and his sister Mary. Please share a memory.
